. RESCUE and RECOVERY - WITH GREATER SAFETY The HARTH Blue Water Ship shown in the background, and is shown close to making a high-seas rescue of another ship in distress. The stable platform performance of the HARTH designed ships, assures such new capabilities in far greater safety. From the main deck, a hook, crane or platform can be lowered with complete stability in high force sea states. The platform can even be lowered to below the surface of the water, allowing life rafts , or persons floating in life preservers, to float over the submerged platform. Then raising the platform up and out of the water - into the main deck and to the safety of the HARTH ship's "no sea- sickness" stability and the warm interior. We have all seen and remember, the dismal performance of heroic manned boats and ships, attempting the recovery of a downed airliner just off of Long Island, NY, a few years back. These rescue vessels were sent back to local ports at critical times, just because these vessels were experiencing a Force 5-6 Sea State. These vessels, large and small, simply cannot provide for a safe interface with the ocean surface, for critical work in such modest levels of the ocean's choppy water. There's a better way. The smallest designs of HARTH vessels, are all rated for stability at that minimal level. Larger vessels retain both the high speed and stability capabilities at significantly greater Sea Force levels, of Force 8, 9 or 10. The time is here now, to build any newly required ship, with the modern capabilities of the Hydro Lance HARTH technologies.
